We are delighted to announce the next seminar in the Lymphoma Tech Meetings exclusively tailored to early career researchers within the SFB 1530.
The idea of the tech meetings is to impart knowledge on practical tools in lymphoma research and to foster networking on site. The seminars will take place on the Cologne campus – as an added bonus, you can attend the tech meetings and talks by guest speakers in one go and wrap up the day with a get together.
The CRC 1530 Early Career Support Board devised an excellent programme – find the preliminary schedule and more information here: https://sfb1530.de/careers/early-career-support/lymphoma-tech-meetings
The upcoming tech meeting will be held by Daniel Bachurski (RG Hallek) and Paul Bröckelmann (RG Jachimowicz).
When: 29 April, 10:30 am (60-90 minutes)
Where: CIO, Kerpener Str. 62, 50937 Köln, building 70, seminar room 1+2.
Topic:
High-dimensional imaging techniques of the tumor microenvironment in B cell malignancies
This technical seminar will explore high-dimensional imaging techniques applied to B-cell lymphomas and leukemias, focusing on the methods Imaging Mass Cytometry (IMC), Co-detection by indexing (CODEX), and MACSima Imaging Cyclic Staining (MICS). We will discuss general considerations for multiplex imaging studies followed by each method's principles, advantages, and technical considerations, emphasizing their roles in analyzing the tumor microenvironment and cellular heterogeneity in B-cell malignancies. A key component of our discussion will involve establishing multi-dimensional panels, incorporating lineage and functional markers which are essential for dissecting cellular phenotypes within the tumor microenvironment. The session will conclude with case studies demonstrating the ongoing application of IMC, CODEX and MICS analyses to mantle cell lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, highlighting their contributions to understanding disease pathology and informing therapeutic strategies but also existing challenges.
The tech meeting is open to everyone, but please register via the following form: https://forms.gle/V33EpDpsLPgMNA1Y6
After that, you are also warmly invited to join the talk by Inaki Martin-Subero in the CRC1530 Seminar Series.
