Grant Writing Season (aka Summer ’25, if you have an earworm now, you’re welcome)
Late-night writing sessions proved once again that desks and offices are optional, “final” has many flavours (near-final, final for now), and editing text-heavy documents in non-text programmes is… possible. Collecting printed proposals doubled as strength training, and laughter remained an essential coping mechanism.
Community Highlights
From symposiums and site visits to a retreat featuring excellent science, networking and roughly 40% more snacks than necessary — discussions were so engaging that agendas became more of a suggestion. Group photos confirmed tradition: at least three people blinking.
Papers, People & Everyday Brilliance
2025 brought strong publications, exciting collaborations, inspiring visitors, and lively seminars. Most importantly, it was shaped by the people of CRC 1530 — curious, collaborative, supportive, and always good for a laugh (sometimes joyful, sometimes grant-induced).
