The internal mentoring scheme is designed to support early career researchers and those who are faced with challenges related to working in a competitive science environment, such as combining career and family life or identifying as a member of underrepresented groups, addressing the low number of women in leadership positions as well as ethnically minoritised or first generation scientists.

How it works:

• Name your desired PI/mentor within the CRC 1530 and/or state the areas in which you would like to receive mentoring.
• We will try to be ‘matchmakers’ in the best way possible and will at least suggest an alternative mentor to accommodate your request. Due to the limited number of PIs, we will extend the pool of mentors to senior postdocs – which in the past indeed had been successful.
