In North Rhine-Westphalia, the large comprehensive cancer centers CIO-ABCD (Aachen, Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf), WTZ-EM (Essen, Münster) and the National Cancer Center West NCT-West (Essen, Cologne) serve as great backbones of progress in clinical and translational lymphoma research within this region, combined with massive advances in treatment strategies in the most recent years. The West German Lymphoma Symposium takes place for the first time 24 and 25 May 2024 in Essen and aims to foster scientific exchange within said region as well as to promote international visibility.
